Michael

Michael was born and grew up in Houston, Texas.  His favorite types of music are blues and pop, and his three favorite musicians are Steve "Bilao" Tyrell, Rod Stewart and Stevie Ray Vaughn.  His two favorite movies are Life as a House and Braveheart.

Michael and Paula have a loving, supporting family:  son Pete and his wife Celeste, daughter Lori and her husband Steve, son Travis and his wife Shasta, daughter Tonya and her fiancee Adam, and grandkids Kyle (16), Peyton (11), Ben (7), Morgan (6), Bella (6), Riel (4), Nic (4), and Paige (2 months).

Michael's favorite book is The Angel Inside.  His favorite place he's ever visited is the Amalfi Coast, and the places he loves visiting the most is Italy.

What is Michael's favorite thing about owning Michelangelo's? Let him tell you ..."Free coffee(ha ha), but seriously meeting new people everyday and making friends with them. Hoping that Michelangelo’s will help make a small difference in my community.  Creating a place where guests come and feel they have stepped out of their humdrum daily routine and into a place to drift off into another place on earth. Michelangelo’s is my art. I cannot do it on canvas or with a musical instrument or pen in my  hand…but it is my creativity. If I can create an environment for you to enjoy, then I have captured it…my art!

Michael's future goal for Michelangelo's, other than the business side, is to be known as one of the best stops in Norman. A relaxing place for friends to visit over a coffee or a glass of wine, a good first date spot, or the perfect space for a business meeting.
